Originally known as Kinshi-kan (金鵄館) during the Japanese colonial era, this theater in the Yancheng area and survived World War 2 unscathed. After the war it was renamed Guangfu Theater and eventually rebuilt in 1959. It continued operating until the decline of Yancheng forced its closure around 2002. The building was demolished for the construction of Kaohsiung MRT Yanchengpu Station Exit 2.
