Established in the Japanese colonial era as Hakkō-za (伯岡座), probably as a venue for traditional performances. Not much else is known about this theater, but it might be one and the same with Dasheng Theater, which was located around Fugang Old Street in the early post-war era. Demolished long ago and replaced by residential units.
