A former police post on a ridge in the mountains of Wufeng, founded in 1913 as a frontier militia supervisory office (隘勇監督所) to watch over the Tayal communities of the Syakaro group, whose armed resistance to Japanese colonial rule lasted until 1926 and is remembered as the Syakaro Incident (霞喀羅事件). It was upgraded to a police garrison in 1922, renamed Shilu Police Substation (石鹿派出所) in the post-war era, and left derelict after the substation closed in 1989. A loyal spirit monument (忠魂碑) once stood on the ridge behind the station, and traces of it are rumoured to remain.
