A Japanese colonial era police station in Taixi, Yunlin, completed in 1931, following a standard plan with a central office and two dormitory wings. In the late 1990s it was identified as a heritage property and plans were made to integrate it into the development of an “old street” tourist area. Rather than restore the dormitories only the central structure was saved and relocated around 20 meters from its original position.
