Cixiu Park (辭修公園) - Spectral Codex

A hillside park on the escarpment below the Linkou Plateau in Taishan, New Taipei. It was originally laid out as the joint tomb of ROC vice president Chen Cheng (陳誠) and his wife Tan Xiang (譚祥). In 1993 the family transferred their remains to Fo Guang Shan in Kaohsiung and the grounds were repurposed for public use under Chen Cheng’s courtesy name Cixiu (辭修). A central staircase of two hundred-odd stone steps still climbs from the entrance to the old statue platform, which now offers a sweeping view across the Taipei basin.
