A cluster of four navy dependents’ villages built between 1973 and 1985 along Shengli Road in Fengshan. It was funded by Soong Mei-ling (蔣宋美齡) from her personal savings in the United States to provide better housing for naval officers and takes its name, “maternal radiance”, from her patronage. The residences were primarily townhouses ranging from 10 to 35 ping. Together with neighbouring Haiguang No. 4 Village (海光四村) and Juguang No. 3 Village (莒光三村) it was designated part of a national military village cultural park in 2012, but this conservation plan was reversed within a few years and the entire cluster was demolished around 2015–2016 to make way for the relocation of the Fengshan Common Market (鳳山共同市場).
