A branch of the Japanese Patriotic Womens’ Association (愛國婦人會) completed in 1940, built in a hybrid Japanese-Western residential style with face brick on the ground floor and horizontal weatherboard above. After the war the front building served as the US Information Service library and cultural center until the severing of ROC-US diplomatic relations in 1979, then as a municipal library branch. Designated a municipal monument in 1998, it now operates as a creative industries center.
