Taichung’s earliest US NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) Club, established on Pingdeng Street (平等街) in the late 1950s. The name “Club 36” (三六俱樂部) was a deliberate inversion of Taipei’s popular “Club 63” (六三俱樂部) to distinguish this Taichung venue; Master Sergeant Archie Baker served as its manager from 1959 to 1962. As of 2025 the building is not used for anything in particular and no sign of its former function is discernible from the street.
