Established in 1972 in a large mixed-use complex, the Hezuo Building (合作大樓), this was considered one of the most upscale theaters in Taichung at the time. This theater had a single hall with seating for 1,200. It was originally part of a combined business unit with Lianmei Cabaret (聯美歌廳), and together seems to have been known as Lianmei Hotel (聯美大酒店), but it eventually became independent. A fire swept through the theater in 1992 and it went out of business, with the site absorbed into the neighboring Haohua Theater (豪華大戲院). Perhaps the only remaining trace of the theater is a sign indicating motorbike parking for the theater at ground floor on the northeastern side of the inner building.
