Shulin Police Dormitories (樹林日式警察宿舍) - Spectral Codex
樹林日式警察宿舍

The only remaining Japanese colonial era police dormitory in Shulin District, New Taipei. Originally built in 1918 as part of a police station complex near the railway station, these dormitories remained after the station relocated in 1931. The building retains its original Japanese rain board siding (雨淋板) and bamboo-and-mud wall construction (編竹夾泥法), reflecting period construction techniques. As of the mid-2020s the structure is shielded from view by protective metal sheeting.
