A former military dependents’ village in the Fuzhou (浮洲) area of Banqiao. It was almost completely destroyed by flooding from Shimen Reservoir (石門水庫) during Typhoon Gloria (葛樂禮颱風) in 1963. In the 2000s the site was redeveloped into Fuzhou People’s Park (浮洲親民公園), but the gateposts and some original residences were retained, and can still be seen. There was a smaller village of approximately 100 households immediately to the south by the name of Wenhe New Village (文和新村); it suffered the same fate and pattern of development but its gateposts were last seen around 2010 and are now presumably gone.
