Looking east along Xingzhong Lane (興中巷).

An eastward extension of Japanese colonial era wooden dormitories for police officers in Yuanlin, Changhua, mostly along Xingzhong Lane (興中巷). Little information exists to attest to its history, but these dormitories likely date to the mid-1930s and presumably continued to house police officers in the post-war period. As with most other housing stock of its vintage, it was likely emptied out in the early 2000s, and by the 2010s it was largely abandoned and left to the elements with perhaps a few holdouts still remaining. These buildings were not recognized for their heritage value and consequently the entire community was flattened in spring 2026, leaving nothing behind.
