Chíshàng (池上) is a rural township located in the Huadong Valley of Taitung, Taiwan. It is famous for high-quality rice and Taiwanese bento (better known as lunchboxes or biàndang 便當). Chishang's population peaked in the 1970s and has declined by half (as with most other settlements in the valley) but has recently been rejuvenated as a popular tourist destination.
