Miaoli Railway Museum (苗栗鐵道文物展示館) - Spectral Codex
苗栗鐵道文物展示館

Established in June 1999 as Taiwan’s first dedicated railway exhibition hall, this open-air display behind the central station in Miaoli City preserves CT152 and DT561, the last two steam locomotives moved here when Chiayi Roundhouse was demolished in 1998, alongside a growing collection of retired diesel and electric stock. The adjacent 1937 shed (苗栗機關庫), originally designed for electric locomotives, now serves as a closed Taiwan Railways workshop. The site was reopened in April 2025 under private management as Miaoli Locomotive Park (苗栗火車頭園區).
