Not much is known about Byoritsu-za (苗栗座), the first Japanese colonial era theater in Miaoli City. It was presumably destroyed not long after the war as it doesn’t seem any other theater was built in its place, and there seems to be no relation to Miaoli Theater (苗栗戲院), which was further south.
