Completed in 1917, this is now one of the most lively temples in Miaoli City. It was damaged in the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung earthquake. Yuqing Park (玉清公園) opened in front of the temple in 1987; it features a large statue of Guangong (關公) and a performance stage featuring oversize musical instruments.
