Active since 1940, this was once the largest coal-fired power plant in the country. Located on the northeastern coastline of Keelung, it was decommissioned in 1981 and was abandoned for many years. In the mid-2000s it was completely renovated into the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (國立海洋科技博物館).
