Huanggang (磺港漁港), literally “Sulfur Port”, was developed by the Spanish when they undertook sulfur mining at Dayoukeng and other sites along the margins of the Datun Volcano Group. The port was expanded by the Japanese and an exchange was built to manage trade in this important commodity. Its post-war history is unknown but as of the mid-2020s only traces remain.
