An impressive and well-preserved sanheyuan (三合院) in the northern farmland of Jinshan. It was built by Li Bu (李佈), an immigrant from Zhangzhou who prospered and eventually earned the imperial rank of jinshi (進士). He built this residence sometime in the mid-1800s, although other sources indicate this house was completed in 1940, which implies that it was reconstructed during the late Japanese colonial era. Residents still occupy the old house but the garden out front is well-manicured and apparently guests are welcome so long as they are respectful.
