A square tower of roughly two storeys standing in heavy overgrowth outside the village of Tianwei (田尾) in Hunei, some 600 meters south of the Erren River (二仁溪) and 800 meters west of the Erren River Old Railway Bridge. The structure appears on a Japanese colonial era map of the area and is still visible on Google Street View, though vegetation conceals most of it. Its form suggests an observation or sentry post, possibly connected with the Western Trunk Line crossing nearby; no documentary source has yet been located to confirm its purpose or date of construction.
