Wushikeng River House (烏石坑溪中屋) - Spectral Codex
烏石坑溪中屋

An abandoned house built perilously close to a river in the mountains of Taichung. It was inundated with floodwaters during Typhoon Toraji (颱風桃芝) in 2001 and again by Typhoon Mindulle (颱風敏督利) in 2004, filling the ground floor with large stones and debris. Despite this disaster the house was still standing in the late 2010s, a curious relic just off the main highway through the area. It is sometimes also referred to as a “nail house” (釘子樓) for stubbornly resisting destruction by the elements.
