Originally known as Dàrénmiào (大人廟), this is one of the oldest wangye temples in Taiwan, with documentary records dating to the Kangxi era (1684). It enshrines the Three Lords (三府千歲) of the Zhu (朱), Chi (池), and Li (李) families, locally called the Baoxi Three Lords (保西三老爺), brought by migrants from Zhangzhou. Together with Jiali Jintang Temple (佳里金唐殿) and Nankunshen Daitianfu (南鯤鯓代天府), it is counted among the three oldest Daitianfu in the greater Tainan area. The current structure dates to a 1999 rebuilding.
