Originally completed in 1914, this wooden structure was later intended for use by Prince Hirohito during his 1923 tour of Taiwan (臺灣行啟), but it was ultimately unused. It also served as Jiaobanshan Martial Arts Hall (角板山武德殿) for a period of time. In the post-war era it became one of dictator Chiang Kai-shek’s many residences before it was turned over to the Chinese Youth Corps. In the 1990s the main hall suffered a fire and burnt down; this was rebuilt into a modern recreational facility (國團復興青年活動中心), leaving only Xunfeng Pavilion (薰風閣), which was originally housing for security personnel.
