Tuba Church (基國派老教堂) - Spectral Codex
基國派老教堂

Built in 1963 by the Kyakopay group of Tayal Indigenous people, this stone church features a distinctive keyhole arch entrance symbolizing the gateway to heaven. The stones were carried by hand from the the riverbed around what is now known as Sanmin Bat Cave and shaped with chisels. The church was in use until 1992 when a larger building was constructed nearby. Nowadays the site is subject to ownership disputes and it isn’t regularly open to the public. Tuba, the name by which the church is known, is an alternate name for Kyakopay.
