An urban resettlement village built for refugees from the Dachen Islands retreat in 1955. Initially there were 120 households with 433 residents in this village, and most were employed in a nearby bamboo weaving factory (竹織工廠). There appears to be a small museum to village history (大陳文物館) at the southern entrance, near where an arch can be seen in a laneway.
