A district shrine (鄉社) established in July 1935. After the war the site was converted into Fengshan Hospital (鳳山醫院) and the shrine buildings were demolished by 1950. Part of the retaining wall still exists on the north side of the hospital and numerous relics of the shrine can be found at Fengshan Chenghuang Temple (鳳山城隍廟), Kaohsiung Military Cemetery in Niaosong (高雄市軍人忠靈祠鳥松園區), and the Kaohsiung Military Martyrs’ Pagoda (國軍高雄忠靈塔). Known as Hōzan-jinja in the original Japanese.
