Completed in 1914, this facility was once used to measure water consumption along the Chiayi Waterworks (嘉義水道). It was decommissioned in 1981 as more modern facilities made it obsolete. Also known by its Japanese name, Chiayi Waterworks Meter Room (嘉義水道量水器室).
