The first modern water supply in Puli, Nantou, designed in 1912 by Hamano Yashirō (濱野彌四郎), the “Father of Taiwan’s Water Supply”, and operational by 1923. The site preserves the original Water Valve Room (水閥室) and was slated for redevelopment as a park in 2022, though it had yet to open as of late 2025.
