An institutional shrine (構內社) located within the grounds of the Chiayi Sake Factory (嘉義酒工場) during the Japanese colonial era. Matsunoo (modernized as Matsuo) shrines are traditionally associated with sake brewing in Japan. It was dismantled sometime after the war and relics may have made their way to the main shrine in Chiayi for a period of time.
