Established in the 1950s at an intersection in the countryside leading east into the Puli Basin with funding from Li Caosuo (李草所) in Caotun, Nantou. Apart from screening films, initially with live narration where required, this was also a venue for traditional opera and performance. The details of its closure is not known, but it probably shut down as transportation options improved, and people were more willing to visit urban Caotun for entertainment.
