A well-decorated residence of the Lin family, known by its the name Xihe Hall (西河堂), on the east side of Caotun, Nantou, down a small access road. It was established around 1932 and follows the traditional sanheyuan design with architectural embellishments showing hints of neo-Baroque and a more folksy, local style. The owners reportedly moved to a nearby property after the 921 Earthquake but have kept the old house maintained.
