A junction station on the Alishan Forest Railway in Alishan, established in 1914 at 2,274 meters elevation as the original upper terminus of the main line and now the meeting point of the Zhushan Line (祝山線) and the Mianyue Line (眠月線). A fire in 1976 destroyed the surrounding settlement, whose residents were relocated, and the terminus moved to Alishan Railway Station in 1981. Zhaoping returned to use after the 921 Earthquake damaged its successor, and the present station building opened in 2013.
