A major junction on the Alishan Forest Railway (阿里山森林鐵路) first established in 1914 at 2,274 meters elevation. Service have been disrupted numerous times over the years due to natural disasters and the current station on site only opened in 2013. It connects to the Zhushan Line (祝山線) and the Mianyue Line (眠月線).
