員林新生戲院

One of Yuanlin’s former theaters, demolished long ago. Formerly known as Sanye Theater (三葉戲院) in the late Japanese colonial era. Some speculation exists that it was renamed Yuanlin Theater (員林戲院) in the post-war period, possibly making Xinsheng its third name. Business records indicate the owner was Qiu Weiye (邱魏燁), with records entered from 1983 to 1998. Whether this corresponds to a period of operation is unclear, but this is one of several theaters in Yuanlin notorious for adult entertainment in its later years.
