Established in the early post-war era by Lin Yaodong (林耀東). It was sold and renamed twice, first as Nanguang Theater (南光戲院), and Jianxin Theater (建新戲院). It closed in the 1970s and little else is said about its history after that point. Currently the former theater is a pile of rubble with part of the original façade still standing, but it isn’t clear whether this was a planned demolition, or the structure eventually collapsed in on itself.
