An institutional shrine (構內社) for the sugar factory (烏日製糖所) originally on this site. It was established in 1927 and likely demolished after the war, although the specifics of its fate seem unknown. Wuri was likely Ujitsu in Japanese colonial times. No trace of the original site remains today, but a pair of broken stone lantern stems survives along an alleyway on Pingdeng Road (平等路) near the railway station, dedicated in 1935 by figures connected to the sugar trade: Nagai Seiji (永井清次), a director of Dai-Nippon Sugar’s Taiwan branch, and Lin Zhusong (林竹松), a sugar agronomist who compiled a widely used handbook for cane farmers (蔗農便覽).
