Established on the fifth and sixth floors of the Ximen Super Commercial Building (西門超級商業大樓) in 1979. It opened as a first-run theater but switched to second-run in the mid-1990s, attracting young students in the competitive Ximending market. It closed in November 2008 due to strong competition and the rise of internet-based piracy. Taipei Truth Church (臺北真道教會) acquired the space in 2009 and has since expanded into additional floors. A banner showing the name of the theater is still visible on Google Street View in history mode.
