Built in 1875 alongside the Mackay Residence to a design by George Leslie Mackay, this whitewashed house lodged the assistant missionaries of the Canadian Presbyterian mission, beginning with J.B. Fraser (華雅各). After the missionaries left it served as a girls’ school and a boys’ dormitory for Tamkang Middle School, and while leasing the house after World War 2 the British firm Tait & Co. (德記洋行) added the upper storey at the front. Aletheia University (真理大學) used it as the president’s residence from 1971 and restored it in 2009; it now houses the private Wu Dengyi Art Museum (巫登益美術館).
