Tamsui Yishan Temple (淡水鄞山寺) - Spectral Codex
Tamsui Yishan Temple (淡水鄞山寺)

A Qing dynasty era Hakka temple completed in 1824 by migrants from Tingzhou (汀州) in western Fujian. It is dedicated to the Dingguang Ancient Buddha (定光古佛) and is oriented toward their ancestral homeland. The side wings of the compound functioned as a guild hall where newly arrived Tingzhou Hakka stayed before pushing inland, making it the only intact facility of its kind still standing in Taiwan. It is considered one of the Four Great Temples of Tamsui.
