A single-storey brick house completed in 1967 on reclaimed land beside the customs wharf in Tamsui, built for Mao Yu-tseng (毛裕增), head of the Tamsui office of the Keelung Port Authority. Japanese-style timber trusses carry its roof, while the rear porch has a flat concrete canopy on round columns. Mao’s family lived here until 2007, and since its restoration in 2021 the house has been home to a restaurant.

I am a web application developer, photojournalist, urban explorer, and history enthusiast passionate about the open web and documenting my experiences on this planet. This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there). I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
