A small Kotohira (金刀比羅) Shinto shrine established in 1911 at Paotaipu (砲台埔), also known as Tansui Kotohira-sha (淡水琴平社) in Japanese. It stood adjacent to the Tamsui Public Hall (淡水公會堂) and the Tamsui Inari Shrine (淡水稻荷社), sharing an outer compound (外苑) with the latter while keeping a separate inner precinct (內苑). It served as the predecessor to the larger Tamsui Shinto Shrine (淡水神社) dedicated in 1939. Both the shrine and the public hall were demolished in the post-war period.
