Erected in 1943, this small monument commemorates the lives of animals who were killed at the slaughterhouse formerly on this site. It has since been turned into the Tamrong Supermarket (淡農超市), a branch of the local farmers’ association. The monument is somewhat unusual in that it has not been relocated in the intervening years since it was first built.
