A reinforced concrete fish auction hall completed in 1936 on the south side of the Anping Canal boat basin, replacing an earlier market inside West Market (西市場). The market closed in 1981 after the canal basin was filled in to build the Chinatown (中國城) shopping complex. In 2016, the building was threatened with demolition as part of a redevelopment scheme, prompting a preservation campaign that ultimately succeeded, but the shell of the building remains idle as of the mid-2020s.
