Built around 1958 as the residence of Yao Yecheng (姚冶誠), Chiang Kai-shek’s concubine and adoptive mother of Chiang Wei-kuo (蔣緯國). The compound was located along what is now Jinhua Road (進化路) opposite Lixing Elementary School. After Yao’s death in 1966 the property was transferred to the ROC Army and used as a liaison station and commander’s reception house. The buildings were demolished in the early 2010s and the site redeveloped into a 15-storey residential housing project (東勢子恊園社會住宅) completed in 2024. The original entrance gates were preserved in the adjacent park.
