A wooden theater stood here in the late 1950s or early 1960s, behind a traditional market in Qidu, Keelung. The theater was operated by Weng Shisheng (翁詩生) and had a capacity of 400. It was later replaced by a kindergarten and, most recently, a church (聖耀漢天主堂). At some point it may have also been known as Daguan Theater (大觀戲院), which was also reputedly around or inside the market.
