Cijin Island’s only private cinema, established in 1953 as Zhongzhou Theater (中洲戲院) with 400 seats, later reduced to 284 after a 1974 renovation. Renamed Yongzhou in 1982, it was known for salacious programming including adult films that drew visitors from across Kaohsiung by ferry before closing in 1987. Although semi-abandoned, some effort has been undertaken to bar entry to the building, and the interior has been stripped clean.
