The exact date of construction is unknown but this office of the hokō system of community policing is allegedly a century old. It was, for many years, a police dormitory after the system was abolished. After many years of abandonment it was registered as a heritage property in 2019 but as of 2024 it remains in a neglected state. Ask at the front counter of the police station (舊館派出所) if you’d like to take closer pictures.
