Built in 1929, originally as a cluster of dormitories for teachers and staff at the nearby public school. Over the years most have been auctioned off and destroyed but two remain intact. One dormitory was damaged during the 921 Earthquake and subsequently restored in 2004. The site was recognized for its heritage value in 2002.
