Former residence of the director of the Taiyang Mining Company’s operations in the area. It is part of a larger group of wooden dormitories built for higher-level employees of the company over a period of several decades in the late Japanese colonial era, the Jingtong Japanese Dormitories (菁桐日式宿舍群). This particular residence was converted into a guesthouse, but its operation seems sporadic as of 2024.
