An important coastal port near Mailiao, Yunlin, in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. It was destroyed by a flood and no traces remain. Nowadays a lone monument reading Pioneer Mazu (開山媽祖) stands here, commemorating the role of the Goddess of the Sea in developing the area.
