A walled Qing dynasty era family compound in the village of Qianshuitou (前水頭) on Kinmen, built in 1765–1766 by Huang Jun (黃俊), a wealthy local merchant known as the “Ship King” (船王). It was originally built to house a private classical school for his extended family and is the only surviving example of a private academy paired with a formal garden on the island. Although designated a national monument and visible from the surrounding streets, it is reportedly occupied by someone who does not welcome visitors, and caution is advised when approaching the site.
Warning: this location is abandoned, hazardous, or otherwise neglected and may be unsafe and even dangerous! Exercise appropriate precautions when visiting.
警告:此處已廢棄或長期無人管理,可能存在潛在危險。造訪時請務必提高警覺,並做好相關安全防護措施。
